King of Mysteries

You existed before the elements

before water covered the ocean floor

You are without beginning and without end

You created the land out of shapeless mass

You carved the mountains and chiseled the valleys

and covered the earth with trees and grass

You measured each object

each span within the universe

the height of the mountains

the depths of the oceans

the distance from the sun to the moon

from star to star

You created men and women

to be stewards of your earth

And to always praise you for your boundless love
